The proposed Centre for Uttarakhand Languages, Folk Performing Arts, and Culture would have as its mission to teach courses in Uttarakhand performing arts and languages (to begin with, Garhwali, Kumauni, and Jaunsari), as well as to research, explore, create, and foster an academic context for advancing knowledge in Uttarakhand languages, literature, culture, and society in their various perspectives as part of global efforts to preserve, protect, and advance vulnerable languages. Students should be given a fundamental awareness of the extraordinary preparation and presentational systems of his own country's folk and classical traditions, so that when they come into contact with various styles from around the world, they will be able to understand them.
They should also be able to synthesise their learning process in order to incorporate it into their own traditions. Performance, theatrical history, dramatic literature, design, technology, stage management, stage craft, theatre production, and arts administration are among the subjects covered in this theatre degree programme. The students will have the opportunity to learn about the rich history of the performing arts and how it has enriched the tradition and creative characteristics of the major production areas. The ultimate goal of the learning programme would be to be able to provide the public pure magnificent joy while also giving the students a cathartic experience, a place from which the audience might take a meaningful message to society.
