  1. Dr. T. Rajamannar

    Dr. T. Rajamannar is the Executive Vice President & Advisor to Managing Director in Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. Sun Pharma is the fourth largest specialty generic pharmaceutical company in the world with global revenues of US$ 5.4 billion. It has 43 manufacturing facilities and a presence in more than 100 countries across the globe. Dr. Rajamannar did his PhD from IIT-Madras, and did his post-doctoral research in University of Zurich, Switzerland. He joined Sun Pharma in 1993. He is a distinguished figure in the pharmaceutical industry with over 100 patents in pharmaceutical technologies and drug discovery. His deep understanding of pharmaceutical operations and innovation will greatly benefit students.

  2. Mr. Ajit Kumar Sharma

    Mr. Ajit K. Sharma (Professor of Practice at Doon University) is Managing Director of Royal Society of Chemistry for SAARC nations. He is country head for different countries in South Asia (SAARC) including India. He has worked in STEM Education & research, Pharma, Healthcare and Analytical Chemistry areas in MNCs across APAC and European regions as a leader in strategic and expansion initiatives. Ajit Kumar Sharma is having an experience of working on leading positions in journals publishing industry at international level. He has been declared to be among “10 Outstanding Leaders to Watch in 2024” by News Channel Times Now. He is one of the founding members of The Inspiring India in Research Innovation and STEM Education (iRISE), a three-year collaborative programme between the Department of Science & Technology (DST), IISER Pune, British Council, Royal Society of Chemistry, Tata Trusts, and Tata Technologies. He has conducted the RSC- Industry-Academia dialogue aimed to strengthen industry-academia collaborations and establish a robust innovation ecosystem in India. Key objectives or outcomes of these collaborations were to drive research outputs toward sustainability, newer energy sources and gender diversity in research. In 2021, he facilitated the UK-India Innovation and Sustainability Consortium. As a current priority in his role, he is working towards promoting Open Science and Open Access and working on various projects to promote gender diversity and working on science community development. He has focus on advancing and developing the chemical sciences community in India and South Asia in collaboration with leading Indian academic institutes to develop educational and research programs with a mission to impact as many students from schools, colleges and universities with the Yusuf Hamied Inspirational Science Programme. As a leader, he strongly believes that an inclusive and diverse workplace is crucial to a successful business or incubation. However, representing each group and making it possible for every employee equally involved goes far beyond policies and programs. It takes the proper implementation of diversity strategies. He is also penning a book on “Leveraging AI for Chemical Modeling: A Comprehensive Guide for Beginners” which will be released very soon. His current organization i.e., Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is a not-for-profit organisation with a heritage that spans 175 years, they have an ambitious international vision for the future. Around the world, they invest in educating future generations of scientists. The RSC partners with industry and academia, promoting collaboration and innovation. Its key roles also include advising governments on policy. RSC promotes the talent, information and ideas that lead to great advances in science. At Doon University, roles of Ajit Sharma include providing the students with practical understanding and invaluable insights into the dynamic world of journal publishing industry and societies, and employment opportunities therein.

  3. Mrs. P. Rita Santhakumar

    Mrs. P. Rita Santhakumar is Vice President and Head of Analytical Development at Sun Pharma. With an M.Tech. from IIT Delhi, she has 34 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She leads the Analytical Development Department at two R&D sites of Sun Pharma and the NPQC division across six sites. Her role will be beneficial for students with her extensive expertise in pharmaceutical development.

  4. Dr. Anubhav Saxena

    Professor of Practice, Doon University

    President, Research & Development Division, Pidilite Industries

    Dr. Anubhav Saxena is the R&D President at Pidilite Industries, a pioneer in adhesives, waterproofing, and pigments. With a PhD from IIT Delhi and postdoctoral research from Japan, he brings valuable industry and academic experience. His workshops and contributions will enhance industry-relevant skills and academic courses in Chemistry, Polymer Science, and Management at Doon University.

  5. Prof. Dr. Thomas Schaub

    Professor of Practice, Doon University

    Head, CaReLa, BASF, Germany

    Prof. Dr. Thomas Schaub is Professor of Practice at Doon University and Head of CaReLa at BASF, Germany. He is also an Honorary Professor at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. It is the first university of Scotland, founded in 1413. He has been a research scientist at “Ammonlabor” at BASF SE in Ludwigshafen. He has been a Fellow of the Fritz-ter-Mer foundation (Leverkusen) and recipient of the Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship of the Minerva foundation (Munich). He completed his Ph.D. from the University of Karlsruhe (TH) and conducted post-doctoral research at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel.
